Services for Raymond David Arrington, 74, of Van Alstyne were held Saturday in Flesher Funeral Home with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.  He died March 18 in Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

Mr. Arrington was born in Texas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mose Arrington, and married Jimmie Ireland Sept. 9, 1942, in Sherman.  He was a retired maintenance worker for Grayson-Collin Electric Co-op and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife of Van Alstyne; stepson, Jack Joseph Ireland of Van Alstyne; brother, Jack Arrington of Van Alstyne; sister, Mrs. Lester Huddleston of Dallas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

VAN ALSTYNE -- Services for Jimmie G. Arrington, 90-year-old Van Alstyne homemaker who died Monday at North Texas Medical center in McKinney, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel here.

The Rev. Donald Griffith and the Rev. Richard Russell will officiate.  Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Mrs. Arrington was born in Van Alstyne, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pleas Amonett and married John F. Ireland on Sept. 16, 1916.  After his death, she married Raymond Arrington on Sept 9, 1942.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Van Alstyne.

Surviving are her son, Jack Joseph Ireland of Van Alstyne; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at the Jack Ireland residence, 117 N. Sixth Street in Van Alstyne.
