Linda Geraldine El-Eid, a 58 year old resident of Van Alstyne, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009.  She was born February 15, 1951 in Granbury, TX, daughter of James Oscar Mays and Chlote Spurlock.  She married Muhammad Ali El-Eid October 28, 1989 in Plano.

She is survived by her husband, Muhammad Ali El-Eid of Van Alstyne; one son, Jack Williams Mays of Lewisville; two brothers, James Mays and wife, Raelene of Granbury; Charles Mays and wife Marie also of Granbury; one sister, Mary Ann Hall of Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne
