and Pappie, went to be with the Lord on June 23rd of 2018. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Oakley and children Linda Lou Reaves with her children Cindy Bodovsky and Mack Reaves, Nonnie Naomi Ledbetter with her son Robert Ledbetter, and Montie Cerdan Williams with his children Shan Williams, Shon Williams, and Shaynelle Williams. Weldon is preceded in death by his first wife Jimmie Lou Williams. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Southmayd Baptist Church, which has been his church home for many years. Weldon was a long-time resident of Van Alstyne and was a committed Texas Freemason for more than 50 years where he was always involved in helping his community, his church, family, and friends. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, Shrinner, and member of the Eastern Star. Services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Rev. Jimmy Davis and George Wade will officiate and burial will follow in the Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral Home.
