Manhart III went home to be with the angels and our Lord at His home on Oct. 5, 2009. Friends and family called him "Three", "Hey Boy" or "Bubbie". He was a very special person to everyone. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct., 8, 2009 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 -8 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Horace is survived by his mother, Bettye Manhart of Van Alstyne; sister, Faye Colburn and husband Robert of Dallas; brother, Ellis Jenkins Jr. and wife, Michele of Pineville, La.; nephew, Michael Holuba and wife, Dawn and son, Colton of Butler, Pa.; nieces, Niccole and Sara of Pineville, La. and Debbie Belew of Dallas; special aunt, Dottie Manhart. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace S. Manhart Jr.; grandfather, Horace S. Manhart Sr.; grandmothers, Pauline Manhart and Bettye Townley; sister, Pamela Elizabeth Jenkins. In lieu of flowers we are accepting a love offering at the funeral to help with the family's expenses.
