Alstyne, Texas -- Betty Jo Evans Wells born November 3, 1925 in Paris,
Texas to Mr. and Mrs. TL Evans, passed away December 24, 2016 in Van
Alstyne, Texas. She married George Wells on February 11, 1952 in
Atlanta, Texas. She is survived by her son; Gary Wells of Hamshire,
Texas; Daughter; Sarabeth McCarter of Van Alstyne, Texas. Six
grandchildren, Shari Pirtle, Eric Plum, Alex Wells, Beth Wells, Kellie
Floyd and Adam McCarter, Eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by husband George and daughter Laurelyn Plum.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Van Alstyne Cemetery with John Wade officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. In lieu of Flowers the family request donations to Cannon Baptist Church of Van Alstyne. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, 637 W.
