here since. Mr. Welker was born Sept. 24, 1861, at Jackson, Mo., and came to Van Alstyne in 1887. Mrs. Welker was born July 4, 1873, at Tompkinsville, Ky., and came to Van Alstyne in 1890. He is 78. She is 66. Mr. Welker joined the Christian church 35 years ago. Mrs. Welker joined the Christian church 52 years ago. Mr. Welker has resided here for 52 years. Mrs. Welker has lived here for 49 years. They have three children and six grandchildren. Their children are James G. Welker, Hamilton, Texas; Harold Welker, Brownsville, Texas; and Mrs. Marie Waters, McKinney.
