 Frank M. Major 1873 - 1900 Lillie B. Major 1873 - 1947   Mrs.
Lillie Belle Major, age 74, died at her home here Wednesday night at
8:30, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Thursday at
3 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. James M. Simpson, Jr.,
pastor, officiating. Interment in Van Alstyne Cemetery under the direction of Fox-Fanning Funeral Home. Mrs. Major was born November 14, 1873 at Liberty, S.C., the daughter of E.P.Taylor and Eliza Wilson. She was married to Frank Major who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and lived in Van Alstyne for 65 years. Survivors include: her mother, Mrs.E.P.Taylor of Van Alstyne; a sister, Mrs. Julia Hedrick of Van Alstyne, a son Roy of Chilicothe, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Elmer Holloway, Robert Philips, Alfred Cavender, Paul Major, P.Thornton and J.C.Major.
