MRS. SUSAN ALICE WALLACE
DIED SUDDENLY TUESDAY;
FUNERAL HELD THURSDAY

Another lifelong resident of this section passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon at 2:20 from a heart attack. She was Mrs. Susan Alice Wallace, who expired at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harley James, with whom she lived.
Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church here Thursday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor,  Rev. Ray Flaherty, assisted by Rev. Jesse Pugh and Dr. W. Harrison Baker of Dallas. Active pallbearers were her grandsons. Interment was in the City cemetery.
Mrs. Wallace was born at Weston on Oct. 15, 1866, the daughter of Ruben and Elizabeth Smith Marks.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1925; also by one daughter. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a kindly soul with a zest for living, and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. Her sudden death came as a shock to her many friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harley James of Mantua; by one son, Jim Wallace of Rt.1 Ector;
by one sister, Mrs. J. H. Stinson of Dallas; by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
