Van Alstyne - Graveside services for L.D. Vineyard, 71, of Brownsville, formerly of Van Alstyne, were held Saturday in Van Alstyne Cemetery.  He died Friday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.  The Rev. Jim Poole officiated with arrangements by Flesher Funeral Home.
Mr. Vineyard was born in Van Alstyne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Vineyard.  In September 1984, he married Viola Cantu in Mathis.
He was a World War II Army veteram amd was employed in the farm implement business in Brownsville.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Kelly Jan Cook of Sherman, Daisy Vineyard of Brownsville, Judy Westerhauses of Elgin and Nancy Martinek of Gunter; sons, Wally Vineyard of Brownsville, David Vineyard of Inver Heights, Minn. and Jimmy Lee Vineyard of Boaz, Ala.; brother, Joe Lee Vineyard of
Van Alstyne; sister, Emma Marshall of Dallas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
