VAN ALSTYNE - Oscar H. Olson, 85-year-old farmer from Gun Barrel City, formerly of Van Alstyne, died Sunday at East Texas Medical center in Athens.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday in Flesher Funeral Chapel in Van Alstyne.  The Rev. Marshall Williams will officiate with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Olson was born in North Dakota, the son of Ole Olson and Helga Brauten Olson.
He was a member of the First Love Church in Gun Barrel City.
Surviving are his wife, Velma Mae Olson of Gun Barrel City; stepson, Marshall Williams of Gun Barrel City; sister, Hilder Pettis of Missouria, Mont.; two grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

MABANK - Services for Velma Mae Olson, 93, of Mabank, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in Payne Springs, Texas, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday
in Flesher Funeral HOme Chapel in Van Alstyne.
The Rev. Marshall Williams will officiate with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Rev. Marshall Williams of Payne Springs; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
