Thursday December 13, 1923 FUNERAL OF SHERMAN WOMAN HELD WEDNESDAY Special to the Democrat Van Alstyne, Texas, Dec. 13. -- The funeral of Mrs. Luther Denson, 35 years old, who died Tuesday night, at her home in Sherman, from an attack of appendicitis, was held Wednesday afternoon at the First Christian Church of Van Alstyne. The Rev. Leo Johnston, pastor of First Christian Church of Van Alsytne, conducted the services. Burial was in the Van Alstyne cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Luther Denson, and five children, who are: Mrs. Louis Ford, Opal Joe Douglas, John, Herbart and Cloy Denson, all of Sherman. Mrs. Denson was born in Kentucky, and at an early date moved to Texas, with her family. At the age of fifteen, she married Mr. Denson and lived in Van Alstyne until two years ago, when she moved with her family to Sherman.
