Winnie Mae Murley entered her Heavenly home Saturday, January 12, 2019, 94 years young.  Winnie was born September 10, 1924 to Minnie and Travis Davis in Delaware Bend, Texas.  She had a twin brother, Wayne, and 10 other siblings, which included another set of twin brothers.  She married William R. "Jack" Murley on February 14, 1941 and celebrated 54 years with him until his death in 1995.  Winnie was a devoted and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne for many years.  She sold commercial real estate for a number of years before working at Bealls department store in Sherman.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Albert, Grady, Wayne, Homer, Floyd, and Herman.  Also preceding her were her husband and son, Mike Murley, of Longview.
Surviving her are her son, Bill Murley, and wife, Jean, of Van Alstyne; daughter-in-law, Gayle Murley of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Den Murley and wife, Brittany, of Harleton, Texas; Amy Borden and husband, Shaun, of Harleton, Texas; Tye Murley and wife, Tobi, of Diana, Texas; Tammy Hitchcock and husband, Josh, of Greenville, Texas; and Tad Murley of McKinney, Texas; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and countless other family and friends.

Give rest, O Christ, to your servant Winnie with your saints,
Where sorrow and pain are no more,
Neither sighing, but life everlasting.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Scoggins Funeral Home with burial following in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
