MRS. J. BRECK MOORE
Died November 29, 1958

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Fay Moore, widow of the late J. Breck Moore, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Christian Church at 3:00 P.M. The Pastor, Rev. Paul Woodard, assisted by Rev. Walter Sullens of the First Methodist Church. Interment was
in the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Pallbearers were Neill Goss, Floyd Carter, Jr., Doyle Chrisman, Kenneth Krehhiel, Howard Moore, Breck Harris.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Massie; by one son, Forrest Moore, and one sister, Mrs. Si. McKinney; by 9 grand-children and 6 great-grand-children.
Mrs. Moore was born on June 25, 1877, the daughter of John W. and Emma West Thompson. In August of 1901 she was united in marriage to J. Breck Moore, who preceded her in death in September of 1953. She was taken to Wilson Jones Hospital last Friday morning and passed away Saturday morning at 8:20 A.M.
Mrs. Moore was a fine christian wife and mother. A faithful member of the First Christian Church here until the debilities of age prevented her from attending services. Altho an octogenarian, she was young in heart and attended most of the football games that were played here as long as she was able. Her home was one in which genuine southern hospitality was always in evidence.
