Royce McCollums
1921 - 1988

LIFE CREED
Brother Royce McCollums, was born May 25, 1921 in Van Alstyne, Texas one of six children born to Mr. Joe B. McCollums and Mrs. Savannah Tate. His parents and one brother O. J. McCollums preceded him in death. He attended Washington Public School in Van Alstyne. Royce moved from Van Alstyne to Odessa Texas where he met and married Mildred Primrose Smith, July 25, 1951. To this union one son Royce Bob was born.
He obeyed the gospel at an early age under Brother J. S. Winston. He placed membership with the Texas and Clement St. Church of Christ in Odessa, Texas and worked faithfully  until his health failed.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Mildred, one daughter, Mary Francis Fitzpatrick of Long Beach, CA., one son, Royce Bob McCollums of Seattle, Washington, one step daughter, Billie Faye Calgon; two brothers, Weldon McCollums, Joe M. McCollums of Dallas, Texas; two sisters Zelma Carter of Oakland, CA., and Royce's twin sister Loyce Teal of Dallas, Texas. Fourteen Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren and a host of realities and friends.
THE CLOCK OF LIFE
The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell just when the hand will stop at late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own; Live, Love, work and with a will place no faith in tomorrow for the Clock may then be still.
