Orange J. McCollums
1 October 1912 - 1 October 1980


Mr. Orange J. McCollums, Sr. was born October 1, 1912 in Van Alstyne, Texas to the parentage of the
late Mr. Joe B. McCollums and Mrs. Savannah Tate McCollums. He received his formal education in the Van Alstyne Public Schools.

Mr. McCollums was a United State Army Veteran of World War II.
He moved to Dallas, Texas and while living there he obeyed the calling of Christ and united with 9th Street Church of Christ, now Cedar Crest Church of Christ.
Mr. McCollums married the former Ms. Caroline Robertson.
The Angel of Silence entered into his life October 1, 1980.
Survivors are: wife, Mrs. Carline McCollums; son, Mr. Orange J. McCollums, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas;
2 daughters, Mrs. Carrie Mae Johnson of Silversprings, Maryland and Mrs. Patricia Thompson of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Savannah McCollums; 3 brothers, Mr. Weldon McCollums, Mr. Joe Marvin McCollum all of Dallas and Mr. Royce McCollum of Odessa, Texas;
2 sisters, Mrs. Loyce Teal of Dallas, and Mrs. Zelma Carter of Oakland, California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
