Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 14, in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Vasn Alstyne. Officiating will be Bro. Donald Griffith and Bro. Steve Dobbins. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was born on June 15, 1907, in Van Alstyne, Texas, the daughter of William Allison Kemp and Sarah Shaw Kemp. She married Jesse Martin on Oct. 18, 1924, in Van Alstyne, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1983. Mrs. Martin was a member of the First Christian Church in Van Alstyne. She was a clerk in a variety and clothing store. Pallbearers will be Dude Crook, J.D. Ballard, Benny Edwards, Zack Herring, Billy Ray Edwards and Ray Hotsford. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Charlesene and Jimmy Hulsey of Van Alstyne; son and daughter-in-law, Gene "Sonny" and Danette Martin of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren, Pam Rogers, Mike Hulsey, Debby Sanders, Randy Martin, Lori Tillett, Karin Sears and David Martin; 10 great-grandchildren - Austin Rogers, Ashley sanders, Criss Martin, Jennifer Martin, Jeremy Tillett, Megan Tillett, Jess Tillett, Kristen Sears, Hannah sears and Sarah Martin; and two sisters, Myrtle Mullins of Denison and Dorothy Tillett of Van Alstyne.
