May 16, 2012 VAN ALSTYNE – Clyde Gentry, 85, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his residence in Plano. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne. Rev. Jimmy Tarrant will officiate, with burial to follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife, Louise Gentry; and children, Clyde Gentry III of Dallas, Sherry Lou Macias and Pamela Rashead of Houston; sisters, Christine Hix of Van Alstyne, Mamie Ruth Burleson of Garland, Myrtle Fay Boyer of Garland and Yvonne Morrison of Farmington.
