Adams 1914 - 2006   "DICK" ADAMS Howe - Services for Raymond "Dick" Adams, 64-year-old oilfield maintenance worker who died Tuesday at a Sherman hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flesher Funeral Chapel in Van Alstyne. The Rev. Harry Stanley of the Tom Bean Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born in Texas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Adams, and married Ruth Langford on Sept. 8, 1944 in Houston. He was a member of the Odessa Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, of Howe; sister, Mrs. Vera Gandy of Midland; brothers, Woody Adams of Midland and Earl Adams of Bryan. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and other times at 809 N. Hughes. Ray Bledsoe and Roger Tidwell will officiate, and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. She died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 at her residence. Surviving are nieces and nephews.
