Virginia Lee Harper, 75, of Rhome, TX passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 in Decatur, TX. Virginia was the daughter of William H “Buster” and Ina Mae (Davis) Graves and was born September 12, 1939. Virginia married Pleas “Pat” G Harper, Jr on June 7, 1958. He preceded her in death. Virginia was a homemaker.

Virginia is survived by one son, Jerry Wayne Harper and wife, Liz of Rhome, TX; five grandchildren, Patrick Harper and wife, Kelli of Hutto, TX; Jeff Harper and wife, Tasha of Rhome, TX; Chrissy Ryan and husband, Justin of Rhome, TX; Tera Lackey of Arlington, TX; and Travis Lackey also of Arlington, TX. Two sisters are also survivors, Wanda Burger of Pilot Point, TX; and Helen White of Wylie, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Teresa Lackey, and sister, Pat Schon.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2014 at Slay Memorial Funeral Chapel in Pilot Point, TX beginning at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral service scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery following the funeral service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Pilot Point, TX.

Pleas Givings Harper, Jr., 72, of Euless passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007, at a care center in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Huff Funeral Home Chapel, Pilot Point, with the Rev. Leonard King officiating.
Interment: Tioga Cemetery, Tioga, with Jeff Harper officiating.
Visitation : 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hall, JOhn Reed, Bradley Burger, Patrick Harper, Mike Gray and David Torres.  Travis Lackey will be an honorary pallbearer.
Mr. Harper was born August 26, 1935, in Commerce to the late Pleas Harper, Sr. and Melverdia Rush Harper.  On June 7, 1958, he married Virginia Lee Graves in Tioga.  Mr. Harper worked for G.E. Aeromotive in Dallas as a jet engin mechanic for 50 years.  He was a member of the Christian Church in McKinney.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Harper, and one sister, Marie Torres.
Survivors: His wife, Virginia Harper of Euless; son, Jerry Harper and wife, Liz, of Rhome; daughter, Teresa Lackey of Bedford; grandchildren, Patrick, Jeff and Chrissy Harper and Tera and Travis Lackey; great-grandchild, Austin Lackey; brothers, Rich Harper of Anadarko, Oklahoma; R.J. Harper of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Charles Harper of Garland; sister, Auda Gray of Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.
