Tioga - Doyle Whitworth, 81, of Tioga, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Community Speciallty Hospital in Sherman.
He was born May 28, 1924 in Delba to the late John A. Whitworth and Alice Mae Clark Whitworth.  He married Nelda Jean Bodovsky on November 15, 1944 in Pilot Point.  She preceded him in death on May 16, 2003.  He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from the maintenance department at the Denton State School.  He was also a carpenter.  He was Baptist.
A funeeral service will be held Thursday, May 18 with burial in Tioga Cemetery in Tiogal.  Pallbearer will be Eddie Whitworth, Dan McKnight, Jr., Bob McKnight, Jackie Myers, Donnie McKnight and Jerry McKnight.
Survivors include two sons, Doyce Whitworth and wife Nanci of Tioga and Randy Whitworth and wife Jan of Sherman; grandsons, Matt Whitworth and wife, Lori, and Casey Whitworth; granddaughter, Whitney Whitworth; step-grandchildren, Jason, Cheryle, Melvin, Mary, Stephanie, Jennifer, Christopher, Stephanie and Allen.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Services for Randy Whitworth, 62, of Sherman were held Thursday morning, August 4, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga with Roy Duff officiating.  Burial followed in the TIoga Cemetery.
Randy was born November 14, 1953 in Pilot Point, Texas, son of Doyle and Nelda Bodovsky Whitworth.   He married Janice Hensley
April 15, 1955 in Pottsboro, Texas.
Randy was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  He worked as a carpenter and loved to play music.
He is survived by his wife; step-daughter, Cheryl Foster of Sherman; brother, Doyce Whitworth of Tioga; and numerous family, music family and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas.
