Mrs. J.W. Scoggins
After an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Gussie Scoggins, wife of J.W. Scoggins, died at the family home west of town, November 15th, aged 42 years.  Mrs. Scoggins was a noble Christian woman, the mother of 7 children, 2 boys and 5 girls.  Her life had been one of service to home and community.  She was loved by all who knew her.  The example of her cheerful spirit, simple Christian life and womanly virtues, were an inspiration to all who came under her influence.  She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, had performed her duties and tasks in life faithfully and well and was ready to heed the call, "Well done thou good and faithful servant," when the end came.
Her remains were interred in Tioga Cemetery Sunday afternoon, the services being conducted by Eld. J.G. Webb.
Undertaker Jno. C. Gray had charge of the funeral arrangements.
The Herald joines their many friends in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved.
