Funeral services for Dan Isaac McKnight, Sr. were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 1996, at Huff-Slay Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. F.E. Baughman officiated at the service and was assisted by Toby Osburn.  Burial was at Tioga Cemetery.
Mr. McKnight died Wednesday, June 26, at Columbia Medical Center in Sherman.  He was 84 years old.
He was born November 24, 1911, in Collinsville, son of William Washington and Margaret Ann Shipman McKnight.  He married Luvena Adele Baughman September 28, 1930 in Durant, Bryan Co., Oklahoma.
Mr. McKnight was a retired farmer and rancher.  He served on the Tioga School Board for many years and retired from Monitor, Inc. of Sherman after 20 years.  He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Luvena, of Tioga; two sons, Dan McKnight, Jr. of Tioga and Bennie Boyd McKnight of Denton; two daughters, Betty Joyce Gressett and Barbara Anne Lintner, both of Tioga; one sister, Louella RIdinger of Denison; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Edward Dwayne Reynolds and twins, Sherrie Gwen and Garry Lynne McKnight; his parents and six sisters: Fern Jackson, Opal Dobbs, Thelms WOods, Belma Carney, Annie Hazelwood and Flossie McKnight.

Tioga - Luvena Adele "Mama Mac" McKnight, 92-year-old homemaker, passed away Friday, May 13, 2005, at the Countryside Nursing & Rehab Center in Pilot Point, Texas.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga with Bro. Bobby Hill and Bro. Bobby Hawkins officiating.  Burial will follow at the Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, Texas.
Mrs. McKnight was born on April 2, 1913, in Boone County, Arkansas, daughter of Albie Parker Baughman Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Roberts Baughman and stepmother Edna Jenkins Ridinger Baughman.  In a double wedding with Balma McKnight and Amos Carney, she married Dan Isaac McKnight on September 28, 1930 in Durant, Oklahoma; Dan was the son of William Washington McKnight and Margreat Shipman McKnight.  Dan preceded her in death in 1996.
Surviving are her sons, Dan McKnight, Jr. and Bennie McKnight; daughters, Betty Mayo Gressett and Barbara Lintner; brothers, Estus Baughman and Roy Lee Baughman; sisters, Eula Mae Scoggins Mitchell, Edna Hilliard and Elsie Primm; 12 grandsons: Bob McKnight, Jack Myers, Donnie McKnight, Jerry McKnight, Jody Mayo, Britt Mayo, Kevin Gressett, Kenny McKnight, Craig McKnight, Scott Branham, Danny Lintner, Robby Reynolds; one granddaughter Angela Lintner; 24 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; four special friends: Bob DeJernett, Robert Smithers, Greg Evans and Marcy Sheperd; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Baughman, Fess Baughman, Dennis Baughman, Vernon Ridinger, Eugene Ridinger, and Vertie Ridinger; a brother, who died at birth and one brother Albie Parker Baughman Jr. whose Air Force personnel transport disappeared on a flight from Alaska on January 26, 1950 and has not been found; sisters: Helen Ridinger Duff and Ethel Baughman Burchett; grandchildren: Edward Dwayne Reynolds and twins, Garry Lynn and Sheri Gwen McKnight.
She was the oldest living member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Tom Baughman, Sam Scoggins, Eugene Ridinger, Jerry Ridinger (changed to Lonnie Ridinger), Gary Burchett, Ricky Harris and David Duff.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Huff Funeral Home in Pilot Point has charge of the arrangements.
The family will be at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
