Kemp 28 February 1917 - 5 January 1994 wed 23 March 1937 Denton Record Chronicle June 3, 2009 Winnie Earline Kemp, 92, of Tioga, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009. She was born on December 20, 1916, in Gunter to General Price and Amy Elizabeth Cox Sturdy. She married Carl Winston Kemp on March 12, 1937 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Gunter High School and a member of Tioga Church of Christ. She worked for several years at Hilltop Haven in Gunter. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Tioga Church of Christ with Ricky Patterson and Mark Johnson officiating, burial will follow at Tioga Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Huff/Slay Funeral Home. She is survived by three sons: Carl Winston Kemp Jr. of Stamford, Stanley Price Kemp of Tioga, and Ricky Dale Kemp of Tioga; and one daughter, Carol Ann Gray of Duncanville. She is also survived by two sisters, Maurine Gates of Denver, Colorado and Alma Ruth Burns of Gunter; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
