Greer 16 March 1859 - 15 February 1932 Whitesboro News-Record Friday, February 19, 1932 Whitesboro People Attend Funeral in Tioga Monday Dr. and Mrs. R.F. Cole, Mr. and Mrs. W.D.L. McJenkins, Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Wooten and Mrs. Leon Hickman attended the funeral of Mrs. G.T. Greer, mother of Dr. G.W. Greer of Miami, former resident of Whitesboro, in Tioga Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Primitive Baptist church and were conducted by the Rev. Harvey Ball. Interment was in the Tioga cemetery. Mrs. Greer was born March 16, 1859 and united with the church at the age of thirty years. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry Ball of Tioga, and two sons, Dr. G.W. Greer, of Miami, and Clyde Greer of Tioga. During their residence here, Dr. and Mrs. Greer were among the town's most prominent citizens, Dr. Greer being one of the leading physicians of this community.
