PILOT POINT -- J.T. Cantrell of Tioga passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 in Sherman.
He was born September 6, 1915 to William Felton and Myrtle Viola Cantrell in Prattsville. He was 95 years young. J.T. was married to Goldie Marie Davis for over sixty-three years; she preceded him in death in 2001. J.T. was a veteran of the United States Army having been stationed in Korea during his enlisted service. J. T. was retired from aircraft assembly work and farming. He was an avid woodworker and had been featured in the Denton and Pilot Point newspapers with some of his woodworking projects.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Huff/Slay Funeral Chapel in Pilot Point. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Huff /Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point. Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Marlin L. Cantrell and his wife Dorothy of Longview; one daughter, Lois Ann; two sisters, Hazel and Edith both of Gainesville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
J.T. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Goldie, one brother, Freddy Lee Cantrell and a son, Ricky Eugene Cantrell.

Services are under the direction of Huff/Slay Memorial Funeral Home, Pilot Point.
