Clarence D. Baker passed away Friday May 8, 2009 in Pilot Point, Texas. He was born December 12, 1912 (12-12-12) in Jones Co., Texas, son of P.W. and Mary Jane (Sally) Lusk Baker. He married Julia Krueger November 4, 1935 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Baker started farming when he was 12 years old. He served on the Tioga School Board from 1947 to the mid 1970s. He was also a past member of the Grayson County School Board, member of the Stiff Chapel School Board, and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga, Texas. Burial followed at Tioga Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife and brothers, Neely Baker and Lawrence Baker, and a sister, Georgia Pearl Cockrell.
He is survived by sons, Harlan Baker of Tioga and George Baker of Krugerville, Texas ; and one daughter, Linda Green of Tioga, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Ridlehoover of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Bonnie Fay Kirkpatrick of Denison, Texas; sister-in-law, June Baker of Haltom City, Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews and 2 sisters-in-law by marriage.

Services under the arrangement of Huff/Slay Funeral Home Pilot Point.
