LAUREEN ASHBY LODER
22 September 1946 - 16 October 2015

Laureen was born in Newark, New Jersey to Laureen Ashby. She passed away in her home in Whitewright, Texas after a brief illness.
On 11 October 1973, she married Walter Loder in Keyport, New Jersey.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, Sherman, Texas for many years.
Laureen demonstrated the absolute heart of a servant, often taking care of others in times of need. One effort that was most dear to her heart was providing hand-made rosaries as gifts. She had even been privileged to make and send a rosary to President George W. Bush during his tenure in the White House, later receiving a Presidential Seal in appreciation for her gift. As well as serving the needs of people in need, Laureen was also an avid animal lover.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Loder is survived by her husband of 42 years, Walter Loder; daughter Evette Warner and husband, Rick, of Bonham, Texas; brothers: Johnny, Billy, and Wayne Ashby, of New Jersey, and Harry Ashby, of Florida; sister, Ruthie Ashby, of New Jersey; grandsons, Dominick and Anthony May, of Bonham; great-grandchildren: Emma, Pressley, Drake, Kash, and Little Anthony.
Rosary was recited by Deacon Albert Miller, in the Dannel Funeral Chapel.
Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated by the Pastor, Rev. Jeremy Myers, assisted at the altar by Rev. Antonio Aureus at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Serving as pallbearers were: Johnny Ashby, Billy Ashby, Dominick May, Anthony May, Gerry Brundage and Phillip Melton. Honorary bearer is Richard Austin.
In lieu of flowers, the Loder family will especially appreciate memorial donations to the St. Mary's Rosary Guild at 727 S. Travis St. in Sherman, TX 75090.
Above information provided by Dannel Funeral Home and personal knowledge.
A full obituary was published in The Herald Democrat on 19 October 2015, Page A-6.
