Robert W. "Bob" Hughes
3 May 1939 – 8 February 2013

Robert was born in Portage, Wisconsin the son of Frank and Katherine Hughes. He passed away suddenly in Harlingen, Texas.
He graduated from Portage High School in 1957 and attended the University of Wisconsin at Platteville, Wisconsin.
He served in the US Army and US Army Reserves. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, AMVETS and member of the Elks.
He had a passion for fishing, football and basketball, especially the Green Bay Packers, Bucks and Badgers. He always enjoyed a good card game with his buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Hughes Gerstenkorn.
He was survived by his daughter Cindy Kent and her husband James (Nicky) of Sherman, Texas; granddaughter, Kayla Kent of Sherman; former wife Carol Hughes of Sherman; sisters, Carol Reichelt and husband Rodney of Sherman and Barbara Dalton and her husband Joseph of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were officiated by Reverend Jeremy Myers, Pastor, St. Mary's Catholic Parish, Sherman.
