Juanita was born in Greenville, Texas the daughter of Juan Rodriguez and Brigida Alanis Rodriguez. She passed away at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas.
She attended Greenville schools.
On 28 August 1954 she married Steve Mexia and they were blessed with four children.
An active member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish she served on the Bereavement Committee for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elaine Rodriquez and daughter Victoria Jean.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, she was survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Steve of the home; sons, Steve Mexia Jr., Michael Mexia and Marcus Mexia and his wife Carolyn; brothers, John, Jesse and Joe; sisters, Mary Burns, Ester Farley and Rose Bearden; and seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Steve, Sadie, Marcus, Christopher and Lucas.
A Rosary was recited by St. Mary's Catholic Parish Deacon John LeBlanc at Dannel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Father Jeremy Myers officiating, co-celebrated by Father Antonio Aureus and assisted by Deacon Tomas Avila.  During his eulogy, Father Jeremy reminded us that Juanita was a woman of Faith, Hope and  Love. Amen.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas.
