Betty Jane Robbins of Denison, 82-year-old retired Texas Instruments employee, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. 
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fr. Antonio Aureus of the church will officiate and the burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. 
Betty was born Feb. 2, 1927 in Sherman, the daughter of Will Wright and Annie Connor Wright. She graduated from Denison High School and moved to San Francisco, Calif. where she worked for the Kaiser Aluminum plant for the war effort during World War II. She lived in California several years before moving to Dallas where she attended a junior college and also a business school in Irving. She began a 30-year career with Texas Instruments in 1962, working for 12 years at the Dallas plant and 18 years at the Sherman plant in inventory control. She married Bob Robbins on Oct. 10, 1970 in Dallas. 
Betty enjoyed arts and crafts and collecting antiques. The Christmas season was very special to her and she loved to decorate long before the season began and normally did not want to remove the decorations when the season was over. She enjoyed gardening and loved to grow flowers and trees. She also enjoyed traveling. 
She is survived by her husband, Bob Robbins of Denison; children, Anita Robbins of Houston and Bobby Robbins Jr. of Austin; also four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters. 
Pallbearers will be Bobby Thompson, Dan McKay, Richard McKay, Bobby Robbins Jr., James Wright and Clifton Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Connor, Tommy Wright, David Wright and Jerry Thompson. 
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Waldo Funeral Chapel and following the rosary a family visitation will be held until 8 p.m.
