TOM MURPHY
Body Laid to Rest in the Catholic Cemetery
The funeral of the late Tom Murphy, who was shot and killed in Howe Sunday afternoon, held from St. Mary's Catholic Church in this city Tuesday afternoon, was largely attended by friends and relatives.  Many beautiful floral offerings were in evidence.
The religious services were conducted by Father Blum, pastor of St. Mary's Church, while the services at the grave were under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus, of which order Mr. Murphy had long been a faithful member.  The active pall bearers, selected from the Sherman Council, were S.A. Schott, F. Schlosser, H.L. Sheehey, Will Fay, Chas. Furche, Joseph O'Hagan, Pete Steffensky and F.H. Brown.  The honorary pall bearers were C.B. Dorchester, Cecil Smith, T.L. Brame, Peter Fay, R.A. Gibbs, and Will Lankford.
Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery, just south of the city.  The John C. Dannel Undertaking Company of this city had charge of arrangements.
