PVT GERALD ANDRE SMITH

 Mr. Smith was born at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He was the son of MAJ Joe R. and Mrs. Anne F. (Tizzard) Smith. He died in the Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas, as a result of injuries incurred in motorcycle accident.
He attended Sherman High School, Sherman, Texas and Grayson County College in Denison.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
At time of his death He had been a fireman for almost two years on the Sherman Fire Department.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman.
Left to cherish his memories he was survived by his parents of Denison; brother Kevin F. Smith; sisters, Joan M. Brown, Karen P. Dierksen and Catherine A. Robertson.
Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael T. Flanagan officiating.
Pallbearers were members of the Sherman Fire Department.
