Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Steffensky, 67, of Detroit, Michigan, and sister of Misses Lucile and Hazel Murphy of Denison, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. Father Henry Felderhoff officiating.  Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery in Sherman with Bratcher-Moore Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Steffensky died at her home in Detroit, December 24, after 2 weeks of illness.
Mrs. Steffensky was born in New Boston, Texas, October 29, 1889, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Murphy.  Mrs. Murphy died here December 15 at the age of 95.  Mrs. Steffensky became ill while here at her mother's funeral but had returned home.  Mrs. Steffensky was educated in St. Xaviers Academy in Denison, at St. Joseph's in Sherman, and was married to Bert Steffensky September 24, 1913.  Mr. Steffensky is a machinist and the home in Detroit is at 2128 S. Deacon.  Deceased was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Bert F. Steffensky, Rockwood, Michigan; 3 daughters, Mrs. Clara Wolf, River Rouge, Michigan; Mrs. Georgia Sordyl, Lincoln Park, Michigan; and Mrs. Catherine Althoff, El Paso, Texas; 2 brothers, William Murphy of Denison and John Murphy of Houston; 2 sisters, Lucile and Hazel Murphy, Denison; and 7 grandchildren.
