Roy was born in Munday, Texas the son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas William McGraw. He died in a Nursing Home in Sherman, Texas.
A deaf mute, he attended the School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas and for several years worked as a baker. Later he worked as a paper hanger and painter.
He lived in the area for 45 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman.
He was survived by a brother, T.G. McGraw of Sherman; sisters, Mrs. Maye Korioth of Sherman, Mrs. Nina Cash and Mrs. Billie Fay Ferguson , both of Dallas, and Mrs. Martha Scruggs of Houston.
A Rosary was recited at Dannel Funeral Chapel.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Mary's Church, with Rev. Michael T. Flanagan officiating.

T.G. McGraw was the son of Thomas William and Agnes Nesbitt McGraw.
He attended Catholic boarding school in La Porte and moved to Sherman in 1920, where he attended St. Joseph's Academy.
He was a graduate of Sherman High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Notre Dame University, Howard Payne University and the University of Texas.

He married Marie Jacqueline Frost, "Jack Frost", on April 17, 1933 with a lasting love and marriage of 54 years.
In 1932, he established a retail meat business and in 1943 started a dairy. Mr. McGraw was co-founder of the Security Abstract Company and was a realtor and cattleman.
Mr. McGraw was a charter member of the Terps Club, the Sherman Community Players, Texoma Square Dance Club and Grayson County Development Council. He was a past member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Community Chest, Boys Scouts of America, and Camp Fire Girls. He was an honorary member of the Future Farmers of America, have been awarded the degree of Lone Star Farmer. He served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Land Bank of Houston from 1947 until 1985, where he held the office of vice president and president of the board. He organized the Choctaw Watershed Water Improvement District in 1955. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Red Angus Association and the Grayson County Genealogical Society.
Mr. McGraw was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he served on the Financial Advisory Board and as an Extraordinary Lay Minister. He was the Chairman of the Catholic Youth Organization, teacher of Confraternity Classes and representative of the Bishop House of Charities. He served as Grand Knight of Council 1289 of the Knights of Columbus.
He was survived by his wife; daughter, Mrs. G.G.Beaver of Hightstown, NJ; sons, T. Garnet McGraw Jr. of Sherman, P. Frank McGraw of Azle, Dr. C. Patrick McGraw of Louisville, KY and William Tim McGraw of Sherman; foster daughter, Dolores Ceballos of Commerce; sisters, May Korioth of Sherman, Wilhelmina Ferguson of Dallas and Martha Scruggs of Houston; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
