  Tanios D. Khalaf 17 August 1912 - 17 August 2008 Ivonne T. Khalaf 3 July 1924 - 25 July 2011  wed 13 November 1949 SHERMAN - Mass of Christian Burial for Ivonne D. Khalaf will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fr. Antonio Aureus will officiate and burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Khalaf passed away Monday, July 25 at the age of 87 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ. Ivonne was born July 3, 1924 in Souk El Gharb, Lebanon to the late Iskander and Adele (Atallah) Sioufi. On November 13, 1949, Ivonne married Tanios D. Khalaf. Tanios worked as a carpenter and contractor in Lebanon until retirement when they moved to the United States in 1980. Mrs. Khalaf was a devoted homemaker as well as an excellent cook and seamstress. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Khalaf will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Mike Khalaf and wife Sue and Elias Khalaf and wife Marina, all of Sherman; two daughters, Hoda Khalaf-Nehme and husband Nassif and Norma Khalaf, all of Plano; one sister, Marie Sioufi of Sherman; ten grandchildren, Ralph and his wife Sarah, Mark, Pamela, Elie, Christian, Carla, Joseph, Kim, Todd, and Shawn; two great-grandchildren, Derrick and Matthew; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 59 years, Tanios. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday July 28 at Waldo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8 p.m. following the rosary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church at 727 S. Travis, Sherman, TX 75090.
