Sherman - Services for John Jacob Dryden, retired sales manager for Pool Manufacturing Co., who died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 9, 1980, were held Friday morning in the Dannel and Horton Funeral Chapel.  Rev. Michael T. Flanagan of St. Mary's Catholic Church conducted the services and burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Born in Honey Grove, he was the son of Marguerite Fein Dryden and John H. Dryden.  He attended Honey Grove schools and on November 29, 1939, was married to Mary Louise Schott in Sherman.  He served in the Army during World War II and later was associated with Pool Manufacturing Co.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Southwestern Men's Apparel Club.
He is survived by his wife; his mother of Honey Grove; sons, John S. Dryden and Robert E. Dryden, both of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce G. Fyfe of Glenview, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Ansley Alexander of Honey Grove; and 5 grandchildren.
If desired, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, the Wilson N. Jones Hospital Memorial Fund, or to the donor's favorite chariety.
