MARY ELIZABETH FALLON DENT HORAK
6 April 1927 – 1 May 2012

Mary Elizabeth Fallon Dent Horak was born in Sherman, Texas the daughter of John Edward and Elizabeth Amelia Fallon. The Fallon's were longtime residents of nearby Dorchester, Texas. She died peacefully at her home in Sherman at the end of a valiant struggle with leukemia.
Mary attended school at Sacred Heart in Muenster, Texas and St. Joseph's Academy in Sherman until 1942, and graduated from Dorchester schools in 1944.
She married Carmen Anthony Dent in 1945 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeanette, Pennsylvania and they moved to Texas in 1946. Carmen and Mary had four children whom they loved with all their hearts until their deaths. Carmen preceded Mary in death in 1958.

In 1959 Mary married Gabriel Frank Horak, Jr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. Gabe loved her and the children dearly until his own death in 1991.
Mary was the hospital administrator's secretary at Wilson N. Jones in Sherman for many years. The hospital was a little smaller and her boss and co-workers were an extended family. She retired in 1974.
But Mary's top priority in every instance was her family, second only in devotion to our Savior Jesus Christ. Never has there been a more devoted mother, grandmother or great grandmother than Mary Horak. She devoted her life from morning to evening to her family. She gave them all she had every day to the very end. She was a true example of a loving child of God and a loving Christian mother. No one can replace her and she will be missed every day of her family's lives.
She is preceded in death by Carmen and Gabe, as well as her parents John and Elizabeth, brothers Bill and Charlie and sister Jeanette.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, she is succeeded in life by sisters Sally McCullough, Etta Klumpyan, Florence Day and Deley Fallon; by her brother Bub Fallon; by her children John Dent, Carol Dent, Mary Rose Dent and Susan George; by her grandchildren John, Troy and Brian Dent, Jennifer Hutchins, Scott George and Cara Acoba; and her great grandchildren Kendyl, Jordyn, Tanner, Bailey, and Kiley Dent, Madalyn Delce-Dent, Jeffrey, Lacie, Tatum and Ben George, Joshua and Ethan Hampton; and her great, great grandchild Madison Narez.
Rosary was recited by St. Mary's Catholic Parish Deacon Albert Miller, at Waldo Funeral Home.
A Mass of the Rite of Christian Burial was celebrated at t St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reverend Jeremy Myers of St. Mary's officiate, assisted by Reverend Antonio Aureus, Deacons Tomas Avila, Albert Miller and Ron Fejeran.
Pallbearers for her funeral will be Roger George, John Dent, Jr., Troy Dent, Brian Dent, Scott George, Eric Hutchins and Marcus Acoba.
