Frances Elaine Jay Corcoran was born July 31, 1933 in Bisbee, Arizona, daughter of Austin and Mary Nowlin Jay, both of whom were from pioneer Arizona families.
Elaine is survived by Bob, her husband of 69 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Mary Giebel and husband, Lou, of Arizona; and sons, Larry Corcoran and wife Denise, of Howe, Texas; Paul Corcoran and wife, Karla, of Sherman, Texas; and Fr. Anthony Corcoran, SJ, Apostolic Administrator to Kyrgyzstan.  She is also survived by her much beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph; her parents; and her sister, Pat Lake, of Sherman, Texas.
Services were held Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Van Alstyne, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church church building fund, 919 Spence Rd., Van Alstyne, Texas 76595.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and her cremains interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.



Robert W.  Corcoran passed from this life Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Woodlands Rehabilitation Suites in Denison, Texas.
Robert "Bob," "Dad," "Corky," "Da," "Grandpa", was born on December 22, 1931 in Bisbee, Arizona, son of James and Agnes Johnson Corcoran.  He was the 7th child in the family of 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Robert married Elaine Jay on August 23, 1952 in Bisbee at St. Patrick Catholic Church and they were together for 69 years until Elaine passed away on January 1, 2022.  They raised 5 amazing children.
Robert was invited to join the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed at NATO  Headquarters in Paris, France where he was a repairman of Cryptology Equipment.   After his Army duty was completed, he attended the University of Arizona and received a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Several years later, he received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
The family lived in California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois and New Hampshire due to job related moves.  Robert retired in 1998 as Vice President of International Sales and Marketing.  For the next 11 years, he had a pest control franchise in Arizona.
In 2011 Elaine and Robert moved for their last time to Van Alstyne, Texas into their 20th home since their marriage in 1952.  This moved them closer to their sons.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his 5 sisters and 1 brother; and one son, Joseph.
He leaves 3 sons and one daughter: Larry and wife, Denise; Paul and wife, Karla; Father Anthony Corcoran S. J.; and Mary and husband, Lou is Giebel.
A rosary w as held Thursday evening, February 16, 2023 at Holy Family
Catholic Church.
  Robert chose to be cremated and a Funeral Mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Van Alstyne on Friday afternoon, February 17, 2023.
He was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sherman, Texas, next to his wife and son, Joseph.
