Thursday, June 16, 1938 pg. 4 Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Griffin, 68, wife of S.G. Griffin of the Westminster community, were held at the Pilot Grove Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Rev. J.A. Henderson of Pilot Grove. Interment was in Smith Cemetery, directed by Earnheart Funeral Home. Mrs. Griffin died at her home at 11 a.m. Monday. She was born September 3, 1889, at Rockford, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Johnson. She came to Texas with her parents as an infant the same year, and had resided in Grayson and Collin counties since that time. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; three sons, W.O. Griffin of Westminster; A.L. Griffin of Lawton, Oklahoma; and C.H. Griffin of Blue Ridge, and a daughter, Mrs. Grover Sterling of Westminster.
