Hales 26 October 1867 - 22 November 1916 h/o Ode Hales Sherman Daily Democrat Thursday, May 3, 1917 pg. 7 To the Democrat Dripping Springs, May 1 - Ben Parker, clerk of Cottonwood Camp No. 1314 of this place received a letter from Chas. Walcott of Sherman, Camp No. 9, asking Cottonwood camp to join them in the unveiling ceremonies at Shannon Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, May 5th. Camp No. 9 will unveil Sovereign J.H. Hale. Clerk Parker wishes as many members to be present as possible.
