W.P. HARPER, 59, FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DEAD 
Funeral services for W.P. Harper, 59, former Greenville resident and father of the late R.J. Harper of this city.  Mr. Harper died in St. Vincent Hosptial in Sherman after a 10 week's illness.
Mr. Harper was well known in Greenville and this section and had many friends who will regret to learn of his death.  He had been in the employ of the I.N.T. railroad for 38 years and was one of that company's most valued employes.  He was a Christian gentleman and had been a member of the Christian church since early in life.
Surviving are his widow and 10 children; and 4 brothers, L.E. Harper and B.L. Harper of Greenville; J.E. Harper of Dallas and R.D. Harper of Edenberg, Texas/

SERVICES HERE FRIDAY FOR MRS. EMMA HARPER
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Harper, 58, who came here 5 years ago from Sherman, were held Friday afternoon at the Sparkman-Holtz-Brand Chapel.  She died Wednesday morning at her home, 2613 South Harwood.
Survivors are 10 children, L.G. Harper, W.E. Harper, J.T. Harper, R.E. Harper, Mrs. W.H. Garrett, Mrs. E.H. Mullins, Mrs. H.G. Chrietzberg, Mrs. Douglas Lowe, and Miss Emma Harper, all of Dallas; and Mrs. J.A. Bush of Plainview, Hale County.
Rev. John L. Andrews of the Edgecliff Christian Church conducted the services.  Mrs. Harper was buried in Shannon Cemetery, Sherman.
