ANNA MAY ROLEN - BELLS - Services were held Saturday, February 20, 1993 at 2 p.m. in the Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel for Anna May Rolen, 96-year-old Bells homemaker.  She died Friday, February 19, 1993, at the Mullican Nursing Home.  Rev. Houston Garner and Rev. Jason Rolen officiated with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Mrs. Rolen was born November 26, 1896 in Van Alstyne, daughter of William and Hattie Jay.  On December 25, 1912, she married Swafford Rolen in Grayson County.  She was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. 
Surviving are 4 daughters, Helen Pierce and Faye Richardson, both of Sherman, Jewel Yeary of Bells and Joyce Sinclair of Savoy; 2 sons, Jim Rolen and Billy Ray Rolen, both of Denison; stepbrother Ernest Jay of Dallas; 28 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. 
Pallbearers were Eugene Rolen, Ronald Rolen, Charles Raymond Rolen, Ricky Pierce, Lois Earl Brown and Sonny Chelf.  The family will be at Eugene Yeary's home in Bells.  (Published in the Sherman Democrat newspaper, Sherman, Texas on February 21, 1993, page A12 and the Denison Herald newspaper, Denison, Texas on February 18(?), 1993, page 2.)
