SHERMAN - Edgar Leon Reynolds, 89, of Sherman passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013, and was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells following a private family service.

He entered the US Army in 1944 and was stationed on Okinawa, Japan, with the 325th anti-aircraft artillery searchlight battalion. He was a member of the Bells American Legion.
He began a career in 1948 with Mrs. Tucker's Foods (later Anderson-Clayton and Kraft Foods) and retired in 1989 after 41 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, and received his fifty-year pin honoring membership and service from the Travis Masonic Lodge 117 in Sherman.
He is survived by a loving family including wife, Rapherd Reynolds; and sons, Elon Reynolds and wife, Diane, of McKinney; and Tim Reynolds of Seabrook. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mackenzie (Reynolds) Rixford and husband, Laird, of Irving; and Meagan (Reynolds) Harris and husband, Jeff, of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Fiona and Rex Rixford of Irving; sister, Pauline Crist of Van Alstyne; and brothers, Earl Reynolds of Amarillo and Ray Reynolds of Houston.
