Owens 25 September 1935 - 24 April 2017 wed 1 September 1972  Lawson Vernon Owens 22 May 1930 - 30 December 1997 US Navy  Bells, Texas - Funeral services for Shirley Ann Owens, 81, were held Friday, April 28, 2017 at Mullican-Little Chapel with Rev. Lowell Howard officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Dakota Clifton, Joey Gilmore, Bill Davis, Charlie Harris, Allen Pierce and Blake Pierce. Shirley was born September 25, 1935 in San Angelo, Texas to George Davis and Goldie Edwards. She married Elmo J. McDougal in October 1954 and after his death, she married Lawson Vernon Owens. She was a sales clerk at Montgomery Ward for over 20 years and a member of Choctaw Creek Cowboy Church in Savoy. Daughter, Debbie Clifton of Bells; grandson Dakota Clifton and wife Rylee of Plano; nieces, Linda Pierce and husband Allen of Bells; Sharon Owens of Bells and numerous nieces and nephews survive Shirley. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son, Billy Frank McDougal; brothers, Hal and Vernon Davis; and son-in-law, Rick Clifton.
