Georgia Lee (Kitching) Moore, 69, of Savoy went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Georgia was born on February 3, 1943 in Bonham, Texas to George Ford Kitching and Velma Mae Hodge Kitching. Georgia enjoyed being raised in Savoy and graduated from Savoy High School.
She married Eddie Lynn Moore on April 29, 1960 in Durant, Okla. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2010. She was a very loving and caring wife. She and Eddie successfully raised three children with loving care. They enjoyed having ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to all. Family was extremely important to her and she always placed the needs of her family above her own.
Mrs. Moore graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's of science degree in nursing on May 15, 1979. She retired from the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veteran's Center in February 2000 after 25 years of service. She worked as Nurse Manager and Infection Control/Home Health Coordinator. Georgia was a very devoted, caring and dependable nurse. She dedicated her life to serving others and took great pride in providing quality of care to her patients.

Savoy, Texas - Eddie Lynn Moore, 76, of Savoy went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 14, 2017.
Eddie was born August 27, 1940 in Savoy, Texas, son of Cecil Hugh Moore and Irene Mae Lawrence-Moore.  He graduated from Savoy High School in 1958 as Salutatorian.
He married Georgie Lee Kitching on April 29, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2010; Georgia was the love of his life.  Together, they raised three children.
Eddie was raised in the Methodist Church of Savoy as a child.  Following marriage, he became a member of First Baptist Church of Savoy.  He was employed in the U.S. Postal Service in Denison as a mail carrier for 36 years, retiring in 2000.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Moore and wife, Carol, of Savoy; daughters, Phyllis Lankford and and husband, Ricky, of Bells and Amy Clark and husband, Jason, of Savoy; grandchildren: Mandy and Joe-Allen Hitsman; Heather and Cole Kimberling; Cody Lankford and Sadie Whitlock, all of Bells; Madison Clark, Zachary Clark and Casey Moore, all of Savoy; Brittany Oakley of Denison; Corey and Sabrina Moore of Bonham; Michael and Samantha Nava of Krum; and Erica and Chad Ulmer of Bells; great-grandchildren, Cole and Chase Moore, Kenadi, Karsyn and and Kynzi Hitsman, Addyson and Case Kimberling, Savanah Oakley, Brantley Lankford, Kamdyn and Cayden Moore, Victoria, William and Olivia Beatty, Lindsey, Arin and C.J. Ulmer, Zach and Kyle Nava.
He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Kay Moore of Sherman; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Moore, Margaret Frailicks, JImmie Nell Wilhelm and brother-in-law, Philip Wilhelms, all of Savoy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brothers, J.C. and Glenn Moore.
Pallbearers were Casey and Corey Moore, Cody Lankford, Zachary Clark, Joe-Allen Hitsman and Cole Kimberling.
Services were held Monday, July 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Savoy with Bro. Bill Sessom and Bro. Chris Merritt officiating.  Interment followed at Rosehill Cemetery, Bells.
