Denison - Richard Dale Carnagey, 85, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at The Terrace in Denison.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, Texas with his grandson, Clinton Neal, officiating.
Richard was born Friday, March 29, 1929 to Chester & Lucinda Walden Carnagey.  He was one of 8 children.  He married Elisabeth Semeins February 28, 1955.  He served his country for 24 years and retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant, serving two tours in Vietnam as a Green Beret in Special Forces received a Bronze Star for his meritorious service.  He was a member of the American Legion and Amvets.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two sisters; and his son, Chester E. Carnagey.
He is survived by his wife of Denison; daughter, Lucinda Carnagey of Denison; four grandchildren, Christina Neal of Denison; Clinton Neal & wife, Kristi, of Sherman; Jason Douglas of Sherman; Ryan Douglas and wife, Rachel, of Illinois; great-grandchildren; Chancelor Neal, Richard Neal, Elisabeth White, Kori Neal, Colton Neal, and Nevaya Adams.
