Bells, Texas - Donald W. Booth, 77, of Bells, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home.

Don was born on September 14, 1939 to Ray and Lucille Wilson Booth.  He was a graduate of Bells High School in 1957 and afterwards attended North Texas State University and Austin College.  On August 6, 1960, he married Wanda Harris of Savoy.
Don was survived by his wife and his two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Linnea Booth of Bedford, Texas and Greg and Mandy Booth of Bells.  He was the proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren, Haleigh and her husband, Vince Monteleone, of Aubrey; Benjamin Booth of Louisville, Kentucky; and Olivia Booth of Waco.  Don also had 2 great-grandsons, Nixon and Beckett Monteleone.
He was also survived by sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Laddie Cunningham of Carrollton, Texas; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Thelma Estes of McKinney; Dorothy and Bobby Harris of Bonham; and Donald and Reba Fox of Telephone.
Don was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bells and an active member of the Bells Masonic Lodge #798, where he served as Worshipful Master, Treasurer, and District Deputy Grand Master of the Masonic District 4B.  Don received the Masonry's highest honor, The Golden Trowel Award in 1997.  He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and North Texas Shrine Club.  Don was a member and past Patron of Bells Eastern Star Chapter.
In his lifetime of service, he was a charter member of the Bells Lions Club and member of Bells ISD School Board.  Don was also a past President of the Denison Retail Merchants' Association and Denison Jaycees.
Don began his career as a Bookkeeper at the State National Bank of Denison, now Bank of American, in 1959.  During his tenure he served as Senior Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Comptroller.  Don retired from the bank in 2004 after 45 years of service.
Don was an avid golfer and member of the Grayson County Golf Club.
Funeral services for Don were Tuesday, August 29 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas.  Rev. Bill Neal, Jr. officiated.  Music was provided by Cheri Wilson Anderson.  Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Serving as Don's pallbearers were Scot Harris, Jerry Magness, David Magness, Donnie Lankford, Mike Fox, David Simpson and David Whitlock.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Eugene Sanford, Don Dexheimer, George Oliver, Douglas Brooks, Bill Dugan, and members of Bells Masonic Lodge #798.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to The Scottish Rite Hospital or Home Hospice of Grayson County, 505 West Center St., Sherman, Texas 76240.
