Jack D. Vineyard, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Ennis, Texas.  A Celebration of his life took place at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment was at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, Texas, under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Jack was born in Whitewright, Texas, to the late Willard R. and Effie May (Edens) Vineyard. He grew up in Whitewright and Bells, Texas, and graduated from Bells High School in 1950. On October 13, 1950, he married Valeta May Jernigan and they made their home in Sherman, then to Bells, and finally to Ennis in 1959. Jack was the store manager for The Automotive from 1951 to 1966 when he became owner of Vineyard's Auto Supply until 2014. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Optimist Club and IOOF.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Vineyard; and two sisters, Vonda Riley and Modine Vineyard.
Survivors include his wife, Valeta May; sons, Greg Vineyard and wife, Linda, and Brent Vineyard and wife, Norma; daughters, Karla Vineyard and Dana Cordsen and husband, Rod; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: Merville Vineyard, Harold Vineyard, and Jerry Vineyard; sister, Billie West; many other relatives and numerous friends.
