Sgt. James P. Muldoon
24 October 1982 - 29 June 2006

US Army
Iraqi Freedom

Sgt. James P. Muldoon of Bells, Texas was a 2001 Bells High School graduate. He loved to give people a hard time. He
was a big teaser and a big joker and, if you were having a bad day, he would change that. His wife still has the flowers her husband sent for their fourth wedding anniversary although they were a couple weeks late, since their anniversary was June 12. The flowers arrived just a day or two before she learned he had died. Ashlee and James Muldoon married in Alaska only days after she graduated from Sherman High School. They met the year before, just before Sgt. Muldoon left for his Advanced Individual Training. He had just graduated from high school and having attended boot camp the summer between his junior and senior years, he was ready for the next step. While he was at AIT, the World Trade Center was attacked by terrorists hijacking commercial airliners. He had a pact with his closest friend in Iraq, Marcus Averill from Virginia. The pact was, if anything happened to one of them, the other would go home with the deceased and help take care of the family. He loved being from a small town. He wanted to retire from the Army and then go to college to be a football coach and a math teacher at Bells High School. He enjoyed his family and hers and he was a wonderful father and husband.
He leaves behind a wife, Ashlee, and a two year old daughter.
He was only 23.
