 Bells - Roy Allen Martin, 74-year-old Bells resident, died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at the Dallas VA.  Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, in Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Houston Garner officiating. Burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born on December 8, 1925, in Bells, Texas, the son of Atticus and Nellie Flowers Martin. He was a 1943 graduate
of Bells High School. On December 7, 1946, he married Ruby Peak in Sherman, Texas.  
He worked for General Dynamics in Ft. Worth and retired from Hardwick Etter after 25 years of service. He was a member of Bells Masonic Lodge.
Masons served as pallbearers.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Martin of Bells; two sons, Gary Martin of Bells and Darell Martin of Sherman; one daughter, Brenda Barajas of Bells; one brother, Larry Martin of Burleson; four sisters, Loretta Killough and Patsy Neff, both of Denison; Gladys Caffey of Blanchard, Louisiana; and Carolyn Dick of Shreveport, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Martin of Bells; three grandchildren, Aaron Blanton of Tyler, Michael Blanton of Poulsbo, Washington, and Gwyndolyn Martin of Sherman; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Blanton of Tyler and Alec Blanton of Poulsbo, Washington; two step-grandchildren, Laura Barajas
of Howe and Jimmy Barajas of Newport News, Virginia; and one step-great-grandchild, Jeremy Baraas of Newport News, Virginia.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Alvin Martin.


Bells – Services for Ruby Martin of Bells, 71-year-old retired manager of Goodwill Industries As-Is store, were held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Hebron Baptist Church, north of Bells. She died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.  Officiating was Rev. Houston Garner, pastor of the church. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
Mrs. Martin was born on September 24, 1930, in Leonard, Texas, daughter of Jesse Lee Peak and Beulah Hamilton Peak. On
December 7, 1946 she married Ray Allen Martin in Sherman, Texas.  
She was manager of Goodwill Industries As-Is store for 37 years, retiring in 1997.
Pallbearers were members of the Bells Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Martin of Bells and Darrell Martin of Sherman; daughter, Brenda Barajas of Bells; grandsons, Aaron Blanton and Michael Blanton; granddaughter, Gwyndolyn Martin; step-grandchildren, Lara Barajas and Jimmy Barajas; great-grandchildren, Jarid Martin, Alyssa Blanton and Alec Blanton; and step-great-grandchild, Jeremy Barajas.
